Sit with what you feel. Do not push it away. Do not cling. Just notice. Name the feeling. Anger. Sadness. Joy. Fear. Naming softens it. Where do you feel it in the body? Chest. Throat. Stomach. Breathe into that place. Emotions are messengers. Listen without obeying. Ask: what do you need me to know? Wait for an answer. It may be a word, an image, or simply calm. Repeat: I can feel this and still be okay. Feelings pass through me. I am the sky, not the weather.
